About Intercultural Gardens
The Intercultural garden movement started in Göttingen
in Germany in 1995, and has since spread internationally. Many
immigrants come from agrarian cultures, and gardening together can be
an activity for exchange between cultures. The intercultural aspect is
though to be understood to be even broader as a possibility for
exchange and understanding between all types of people manifested in
public space through gardening together.
